At Center of Life, we believe it is important to share our story on as many platforms as possible. We value storytelling because it allows us to connect, collaborate, and spark new ideas across geographic and cultural borders, which in turn gives us new opportunities to provide resources to our community. We hope that whether you are keeping up with us on Facebook or learning about us in the press, our stories inspire you to get involved with Center of Life.
Hazelwood Diversity Dialogue Podcast
We’re happy to present our new podcast, Hazelwood Diversity Dialogue! Did you know that Hazelwood is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Pittsburgh? With this project, generously funded by The Heinz Endowments, we’re starting a conversation about race in Hazelwood by listening to residents from all walks of life about their experiences. Take a listen and check back soon for more episodes. You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, or by clicking the episodes below.
Center of Life Reflections
For the 2018 Annual Report, Our Rhythm, we asked a diverse group of stakeholders to give us their perspective on what Center of Life’s rhythm means to them.
We caught up with a few alumni of Center of Life programs to ask them about how Center of Life helped them get where they are. The answers range from "I built my musical career based on [Center of Life] connections" to "it’s prepared me for eventually becoming a parent." Watch the full interviews to see the many surprising and wonderful ways Center of Life programs continue to influence lives long after our students have grown up.
