Sarah Crawshaw joined Center of Life in 2018 excited to have a pivotal role in children’s education without the limitations and constraints often associated with more traditional classroom teaching. Prior to joining the team, she received her Master’s in Education from Carlow University where she also studied gifted and gender education. She then headed to Charleston, South Carolina to teach middle and high school English for six years. After this, she crossed the pond to teach in the United Kingdom for two years. In her most recent role, Sarah manages the Fusion and Camp Hazelwood programs which benefit from her commitment to social justice, attention to detail, and immense passion for equitable education.

“[Equitable education] actively combats systemic oppressions and inequalities. Success does not rely on test results in any way, shape, or form, and it focuses on the whole child in actuality, not just through lip service, including social, emotional, physical, and mental health.”
